LABOUR Minister Stephenson King says plans are underway to identify a replacement for Labour Commissioner Ray Narcisse, who is expected to proceed on retirement from the public service within the next year.

King says it’s important that the government begins the process of succession planning early enough, to identify and engage a suitable replacement to take over the Labour Department.

He said Heads of Department within the Public Service should not be allowed to reach the point of retirement before a successor is identified.
