PRESS RELEASE – Industrial negotiations between the Management of Du Boulay’s Bottling Company (DBC) and the National Workers Union (NWU) have been satisfactorily concluded.
Over sixty workers employed with the local company will benefit from an 8% general wage increase. Retroactive payments (back pay) will be effective from September 2016.
The agreement makes provision for Paternity Leave, Good Attendance Bonus of $250, and Meal/Dinner/Breakfast Allowances. It also includes a Length of Service Premium that would benefit workers employed with the company for a longer duration.
The new industrial agreement, which will be signed shortly, is of a three-year duration.
