THE Open Poetry Slam hosted by Alliance Francaise last Wednesday was a resounding success, both in participation and audience attendance.
The ‘Pyramid’ at Pointe Seraphine came to life, buzzing with the young poets delivering a high standard of poetry as they competed for prizes.
After round one, there was an elimination process with six finalists emerging for round two. The eventual winners were Ethan Fletcher (first place), E-Jazz (second place) and Rochelle Calderon (third place).
The judges were Kensley Charlemagne, Travis Weekes and Stephane Douvert.

Membership to Alliance Francaise and prizes were given to all ten participants and trips to Martinique and books, were awarded to the top three finishers.
