Later, there will be a Vieux Fort derby as Vieux Fort North comes up against Vieux Fort South at 8:00 p.m.

Based on the rivalry between the two teams in previous outings at the same venue, supporters from both sides will expect the atmosphere and the action on the square to be nothing less than electrifying and thrilling as the players will be going all out to claim “bragging rights” for the southern town.

Vieux-Fort South booked their semifinal spot with a 4 – 2 victory over Canaries with goal from Ricardo Miller, Noah Nicholas, Nyrone Winter and Jevic Mc. Farlane; while Vieux Fort North defeated Gros Islet 2 – 1 with goals from Alvinus Mayers and Dalyan Johnson. Gros Islet lone goal came from Tev Lawerence.

For the VFS under – 21 team, this encounter means a lot as they would like to emulate the success of their senior counterparts recently won the Blackheart Tournament for the first time this year. With the likes of national under – 20 players Nicholas, Winter and Mayers in its lineup, and MVP of the Blackheart Tournament Leon Alexander in goal, VFN will have to pull all stops to if they are to advance to the finals.
