SAINT Lucia is currently participating in the International Tennis Federation (ITF)/Central American and Caribbean Tennis Confederation (COTECC) Under-13 Regional Training Tennis Camp being held in Guatemala.
The team is made up of two top junior players, Aidan Bousquet at No. 5 and Maxx William at No. 16 on the COTECC rankings.
They are expected to join their counterparts from Barbados, Guyana, Trinidad and Tobago, Jamaica and Guatemala.
The ITF is committed to assisting the most talented junior players in the region, either by awarding travel grants to players or inviting players to participate in ITF-organized training camps.
The players’ trip to Guatemala was made possible through financial contributions by IBS Inc. and S.H. Construction.
While in Guatemala, the two players will be under the watchful eyes of Ivan Molina, an ITF expert and travelling coach.
