It’s Called Lying

THE EDITOR:
IT seems to me that democracy as we now take it in 2016 is quite different from what Plato and the rest of the ancient philosophers meant it to be. The word propaganda when used by ISIS or the Western powers, is no longer a force in politics, this has been replaced by lying.

In an article today in the FOREIGN AFFAIRS MAGAZINE, Cathleen Mc Namara claimed the Brexit vote was based on lying. In St. Lucia it was the same, the present government succeeded to manipulate the voters by lying. They knew that they could not accomplish the main things that they had promised, because they had done no calculations, or investigations on the things that were promised. Prices of goods and services for instance, was a good vote catcher, and that caught the voters very well, because it was felt by all physically. But very few had the knowledge or experience of the repercussions that such action would result in, which is the economy of the country. Therefore it worked and worked very well for party which used this means to get votes.

I like changes in administration, however this can be very costly to any organization, if they are using “trial and error” for such changes.

The conscious mind cannot detect lying, but the subconscious mind can so very easily. See my book “Are you a triple human being” ( the conscious, subconscious and the unconscious mind) on lying.

  1. He does not have a point. His main reason for this article is to try to sell his book which is collecting dust at some unrecognized book store.
