Flow Helps Promote Health, Fitness

FLOW’S sponsorship of the 2016 Sidonie Invitational Body Building and Fitness classic has demonstrated once again that it remains deeply committed to supporting local sports and the development of St. Lucia’s sportsmen and women, the company said yesterday.

Flow partnered with the Sidonie Brothers Gym for the competition which saw hundreds of bodybuilding enthusiasts turning up at the Dame Pearlette Louisy Auditorium on May 28, to see 22 local athletes from gyms island wide go up against male and female bodybuilders from Anguilla, Saint Martin and Trinidad & Tobago.

Flow said it was excited about contributing significantly to the overall success of this event. Its aim was to support not just the competition but all the activities leading up to it. These included a mobilization and promotional campaign held at various community gyms around the island, featuring a series of road shows.

Working sessions were also organized to provide the bodybuilders with helpful tips on proper pre-competition dieting and to help them fine tune their training techniques and free style posing, and strengthen their mental preparedness.

Flow’s Marketing and Communications Executive, Shermalyn Sidonie-John said: “As always, we are very proud to be involved in our community and one important way that we give back is by sponsoring great sporting events like the Sidonie Invitational Body Building classic, which instils self-discipline and motivation among the competitors.
