THE Saint Lucia Trade Export Promotion Agency (TEPA) has announced the appointment of USA-based marketing and public relations firm, At The Table PR.

Through a government sponsored market familiarization mission, TEPA contracted the firm to create awareness and assist in deepening penetration for Saint Lucian products and producers into the United States and the southern Canadian market.

The campaign will feature Saint Lucian produced food products, spirits and creative works. At The Table PR will be managing the U.S based campaign via tasting events, social media efforts, spirits of Saint Lucia events and a travelling art exhibition to showcase and sell Saint Lucian artists and their work.

To prepare for this assignment, At the Table PR attended a Saint Lucia familiarization and orientation tour to meet one-on-one to best understand the market, its offerings and the business landscape and export development targets and strategy.

To this end, At The Table PR met with business development stakeholder agencies such as the Saint Lucia Coalition of Service Industries, the Minister and Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Commerce Industry, Business Development, Investments and Consumer Affairs, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Tourism, Heritage and Creative Industries; and the Chairman of the National Export Council.

“Through this marketing and promotions campaign, TEPA can expand Saint Lucia’s export opportunities that exist in the North American market,” said Gasper George, Promotion and Marketing Officer (North American). “Having a strategic alliance on the ground in the US gives us more ability to leverage and maximize these export opportunities.”

Aspects of the campaign will begin to roll out in select U.S cities starting in February 2016.
