TRADITIONALLY at Christmas time J.E. Bergasse & Company attempts to express appreciation to its customers for their support and patronage with a token gift of thanks. However, this year the company felt it best to celebrate the season in the spirit of giving and sharing with those less fortunate in the community they serve.
Anthony Bergasse, the company’s managing director said: “As we at J.E Bergasse & Company Ltd reflected on the year, we remember the holiday season of just one year ago. You will recall that in December 2014, while some looked forward to celebrations, others suffered significant adverse effects of the trough which rained down on December 24th and changed the lives of many in Saint Lucia.
“With many still trying to recover one year later, we have decided to give thanks this holiday season in a way which we believe will have a greater impact. It is our way of sharing the Christmas spirit with the less fortunate children of our country.
On Thursday, J.E. Bergasse & Company made a financial donation to Sister Antonia David (see picture) of the Holy Family Children’s Home in the name of all its customers.
Bergasse added: “J.E. Bergasse & Company wishes all those involved with the Holy Family Children’s Home all the best in the continuation of its refurbishment and extension project. And to our valued customers, we wish you and yours peace, joy and love during the holiday season and throughout the year”.
