City Teams To Open Blackheart

TWO teams from the Castries basin will face each other on the opening night of competition when the Blackheart Production / St.Lucia Football Association Knock Out Tournament kicks off at the Beausejour Cricket Ground on Saturday from 6:00 p.m.

The announcement was made on Monday evening when the tournament draw took place.

According to one of Blackheart Production Director Brian Mc Donald, the draw brought up some very interesting match ups and after it was made tournament organizers got together to formalize the fixtures for the first round of matches.

Here is the full list of fixtures: Saturday at the BCG from 6.:30 p.m. Central Castries against Marchand, while from 8:30 p.m. defending champions Canaries plays La Clery.

Sunday at the same venue from 6:00 p.m. Babonneau against Laborie, 8:00 p.m. Dennery plays Anse la Raye.

The Blackheart train will travel to the Phillip Marcellin Grounds on Wednesday, fans in the south of the island will see Vieux Fort North against Roseau Valley from 6.00 p.m., while Vieux Fort South plays South Castries from 8.00 p.m.

The showpiece will then move to the Soufriere Mini Stadium on Saturday September 26, from 6:30 p.m. Micoud against Mabouya Valley, while home team Soufriere plays Gros Islet from 8:30 p.m.
