THE Big Players Football Club will be holding its second annual Fun walk next Sunday.
The walk starts at the southern gate of the Marchand Grounds at 6:30 a.m. Warm ups and instructions will be done by martial artist. Oliver Lawrence.
The route for the walk is as follows: Down the Marchand road onto the Chaussee, into Mary Ann Street to Leslie Land road to Water works road to Bocage road onto Ti Rocher throughTrois Piton onto Old Victoria road down the Pavee road onto Bridge Street onto Brazil Street to Chaussee Road back onto Marchand road and ending at the Marchand Grounds.
Last year’s Fun Walk was a tremendous success, with persons of all ages and all walks of life from Castries and beyond participating. This year’s event is expected to be much bigger with a number of groups and individuals showing interest.
There will be a health fair after the walk. Participants will get the opportunity to do health checks including Blood sugar, blood pressure and HIV. The fair will be conducted by nurses and other health personnel from the Entrepot Health Centre and the Ministry of Health.
Medals trophies and other prizes (inclusive of a Trip for one to Martinique from Travel Boutique), will be distributed to participants who complete the walk. The police and ambulance service will be on hand to provide security and emergency services as required.
Interested persons are asked to register with members of the Big Players Football Club or at the Marchand grounds on the mornings of today and next Saturday.
