Michael Gordon To Address Employers On Labour Code

RETIRED Appeal Court Justice, Mr. Michael Gordon, will be the Guest Speaker, at the 54th annual general meeting of The St. Lucia Employers Federation scheduled for Wednesday at the Windjammer Landing Villa Beach Resort.

Gordon, who is the Chairman of the Labour Tribunal established under the Labour Code, will address employers on the theme “The Labour Code in Practice”.

The closed session which will be for members only, shall commence at 10:15 a.m. and will deal with the adoption of the audited financial statements for the past financial year, the appointment of Auditors and the Election of three members to the Board of Management for the coming year.

The open session which is scheduled to commence at 11:00 a.m, will receive the President’s Report by city barrister Mr. Vern Gill, followed by an address by Minister of Labour Robert Lewis, which will be followed by the feature address to be delivered by retired Justice Gordon.

The meeting will conclude with the presentation of the award for “Employer of the Year”; a first for the Federation.
