FORMER Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago, Basdeo Panday will be in Saint Lucia this week to address the National Workers Union 2015 Annual Congress of Delegates, scheduled for Thursday.
Also to address the Congress will be Geoffrey Devaux, Chartered Accountant.
Panday, who is also President General of the All Trinidad Sugar, Factory and General Workers Trade Union, and Devaux will be addressing the opening ceremony of the Congress, which will be held at the Royal by Rex Resorts, Rodney Bay, Gros Islet.
Over one hundred and twenty delegates from 70 branches of the Union will attend the dayās proceedings under the theme āConsolidate for Survivalā.
The closed session will receive, discuss and analyze reports on the operations of the organization in matters of finance, negotiations, mobilization and grievance handling, the membership discount programme and education and training.
