Wendy Bain migrated to St. Lucia some 50 years ago from Grenada as a young, artistic and vibrant personality employed by the Royal Bank of Canada. Her role in St. Lucia was recognised and respected by many based on her remarkable talent of giving and sharing.

She served for years on the M & C FINE ARTS Council amongst many other community projects but the most memorable part of her life was her input in the preparation of the Pope site on the visit of Pope John Paul to St. Lucia on January 20, 1985.

From thence Wendy established a real bond with Sister Mariana Pinto which caused her to become converted to the Roman Catholic faith. She leaves to mourn her husband Angus, her two sons Randal and Larry, her sisters Maureen and Biddy, brother Gene Lawrence and a number of relatives and close friends.

Wendy’s memorial service took place at the Mount of Prayer Coubaril on Thursday. The tribute by her son Larry was exceptional and spoke volumes of his mother’s gifted talent.

MAY SHE REST IN PEACE.
