DIGICEL is supporting Jazz initiatives across the island to ensure that all St. Lucians get to have an extraordinary experience for the festival.

As a corporate citizen with a passion for community development, Digicel’s Jazz sponsorship strategy for 2015 focusses on working with the committees and organizers of the different community fringe events to ensure a successful jazz product is delivered to all patrons.

Digicel begins the Jazz Festival with the Saint Lucia Tourist Board at the staging of the Opening of Jazz on April 30 at the People’s Auditorium in Marchand and then immediately heads down to Sulphur City for the highly anticipated Soufriere Creole Jazz on May 1. As proud Platinum sponsors, Digicel is partnering with the Soufriere Regional Development Foundation to showcase an extraordinary world class party under The Pitons. Soufriere will be home to Jah Cure, the original Bouillon pioneers WCK, Barbara Cadet, Teddyson John, Future lights, AvotSevis plus local cultural entertainment.

Moving back to the north of the island Digicel continues with maintaining the cultural momentum in the community of Monchy. Digicel once again has partnered with the community of Monchy in hosting another truly extraordinary musical experience for residents and patrons of the MonchyMizik En Kweyol Cultural Extravaganza.

Undoubtedly the Digicel Jazz experience would not be complete without exclusive VIP Jazz parties. Starting with Different Shades “Show me your Colours VIP party” at JardinRomantique on May 2, Atmosphere presented by Exotic Events on May 7 at Stony Hill and the RCI Little Black Dress party on May 16 at the Indies Night Club. Having officially entered adulthood, Tea Time Jazz with its unique theme “Music, Art and Heart” has once again partnered with Digicel in delivering an extraordinary jazz product to patrons.

Digicel continues with more jazz activity at the Fire Grill Restaurant in hosting Jazz on the Grill which promises a rich variation in performances and genres of music. Digicel also joins JQ Mall and Baywalk Mall in a unique mall collaboration to present Jazzy Rhythms 2015 on the Rodney Bay strip.

Digicel’s Country Manager Siobhan James-Alexander says :“Our hope is to assist more communities to host their own Jazz activities at affordable prices, so that more St Lucians can have a jazz experience. More persons from the communities can benefit from the financial injection and economic stimulation which having a festival or any event brings. We’re hoping to bring jazz across the island to ensure St. Lucians have a truly extraordinary musical experience.”

Digicel invites everyone to the ultimate jazz climax in Vieux Fort on May 17 for the grand finale Vieux Fort MouvmanAnsamn. St. Lucians are encouraged to take in a bit of the jazz action and support the various initiatives.
