MINDFUL of the numerous social and economic challenges facing our families, communities and nation at this time, the Micoud Ebenezer Seventh Day Adventist Church is embarking on an ongoing community evangelistic campaign with the aim of bringing the light of God to man as the only hope.
A spokesman for the church said that in recent times our nation has been seized by various manifestations and developments which stand as “a menace to our peace and stability as a people”. The village of Micoud was not insulated and was called upon from time to time to cope with and respond to growing societal ills.
He added: “In response to the growing challenges which threaten to undermine the quality of life of our families and community, the church has determined that it should assume a more active leadership role in providing hope to people. Over the past two months, 11 Action Units have been formed for the purpose of making direct interventions within the community to identify and assist in relation to existing needs and concerns. It is the desire of the church to make this a permanent mechanism for community evangelism and ministry”.
In order to complement and bring a strong spiritual dimension in support of the ongoing community outreach effort, the Micoud Ebenezer SDA Church will begin a Community Evangelism Campaign from tomorrow to March 28.
The campaign which will be staged nightly at the Micoud Ebenezer SDA Church (located on Lady Mico Street, Micoud Village) under the theme: “Signs of the Times”. The evangelist for the campaign will be Elder Murkey Xavier who will present nightly messages of love and hope in troubled times.
Residents of Micoud village and surrounding communities are being invited to attend the nightly seminars where they are guaranteed to receive a blessing of love and hope.
I hope they secured a royal permit from the “Empress” professor ………………….
