Mr. Francis Compton and Hon. Justice Francis Belle have been recognised by the Mediation Forum (St. Lucia) Inc. for their sterling and exemplary services and contributions rendered towards the development of the mediation programme in St. Lucia.
The recognition, which was accomplished via a virtual event, involved the delivery of commendations to the two gentlemen and the presentation of plaques of appreciation.
Representatives of the legal fraternity and the OECS Supreme Court were in attendance and delivered remarks and highlighted the invaluable contributions of the honourees to the programme locally and throughout the OECS Jurisdictions.
Both Mr. Francis Compton and Justice Belle expressed their appreciation and confirmed their availability to support the continued growth and mainstreaming of the mediation process in the island’s legal and justice system.
The Mediation Forum is a not-for-profit organisation which seeks to promote the mediation programme as an alternative dispute resolution mechanism in Saint Lucia, and advocates on behalf of its membership. It’s presently coordinated by a Steering Committee, chaired by Mr. Urban Dolor.
