An industrial row is brewing between the Management of the Saint Lucia National Housing Corporation (SLNHC) and the National Workers Union (NWU).
A few weeks ago the Housing Corporation terminated the services of two (2) workers without prior industrial engagement with the National Workers Union, the employees bargaining agent. The NWU has since made efforts to meet with the Management of the Housing Corporation without any success.
The NWU has temporarily suspended protest action by the employees and has requested the intervention of the Deputy Labour Commissioner (Ag), Ms. Cornelia Jn. Baptiste.
