PRESS RELEASE – THE Gros Islet Public Library hosted a session with Gyanchand Rayman, a well-known author/publisher, under the theme “Reading grows the imagination — Discover the author in you”.
This activity created an avenue to showcase the writing talents of Grade 5 students of the Gros Islet Primary School.
Students got the opportunity to read their compositions and short stories which they had written prior to the session and also listened to a short story from Rayman’s book entitled “Mysterious Light” taken from his anthology of short stories entitled “Enticing Short Stories”. Students were elated by the story which Rayman read and opted to act out the scene.
The general consensus determined from this activity is to showcase students’ writing talents and to publish a book with students’ writings by the end of the school term.
