THE University of the West Indies hosts its Annual Open Day next Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.at the UWI Open Campus Saint Lucia site, Morne Fortune.
Joining the local Open Campus team will be representatives of the Mona, St Augustine, Cave Hill Campuses, who will be on hand to provide advice to persons seeking entry to any of these four (4) UWI Campuses (www.uwi.edu).
The Open Day aims to provide a setting within which the public and students can browse through promotional material, receive first hand information about each of our campuses, and be guided through the application process by friendly and knowledgeable staff from across the region. Information on The UWI’s seven faculties, four enrolment options, and hundreds of programme offerings will be readily available. Available will be information on the various scholarship opportunities on offer at all four campuses.
The Open Day will also provide an opportunity for interested persons to talk to current students and alumni about their experiences as UWI students and to receive advice from a number of banking institutions about their student loan packages.
Personnel from the Human Resource Development (HRD) Unit of the Ministry of Education will also be on hand to provide critical information on the steps involved in applying for an Economic Cost Award, as well as on scholarships opportunities available.
