CRICKET action in the 2017 Paul Remice T20 Tournament continued at the Mindoo Phillip Park with one match on the weekend between Central Castries Under-19 and Shamrock, with the latter winning by 14 runs.
Shamrock batted first after losing the toss and scored 112 for 9 wickets in their allotted 20 overs with national cricketer Stephen Naitram top scoring with 55 while Travis John chipped in with 17.
Bowling for CC Under-19, Jermain Harding bagged 2 for 16 in 4 overs, Darcy Popo 2 for 30 in 4 overs and Cameron Augustin 2 for 9 in 1 over.
Chasing 113 for victory, CC Under-19 scored 98 for the loss of 6 wickets in their allotted 20 overs with Cameron Augustin scoring 35 and Maeto Boulogne 14 not out.
Bowling for Shamrock, Cyprian Servais took 3 for 10 in 4 overs and Athanus Anderson 1 for 6 in 3 overs.
The tournament continues this weekend at the MPP.
