WEATHER permitting, the excitement resumes on Saturday as the St. Lucia National Cricket Association stages the quarterfinal round of its T20 Cup at two venues.
At the Mindoo Phillip Park from 10:00 a.m. Central Castries play Mabouya Valley while at 2:00 p.m. South Castries take on Soufriere.
At the Piaye Playing Field from 10:00 a.m., Laborie play Gros Islet while at 2:00 p.m. Choiseul take on Micoud.
Meanwhile, the preliminary round of matches was completed on Monday with wins for South Castries and Mabouya Valley.
South Castries defeated Vieux Fort North by 6 wickets, while Mabouya Valley defeated Dennery by 64 runs.
One match was played on Saturday with Laborie defeating South Castries by 2 runs in a nail- biting encounter.
On Sunday, despite the inclement weather, there was enough time for Gros Islet to defeat Babonneau by 42 runs and Central Castries to secure a 60-run win over Anse la Raye at the Mindoo Phillip Park. Laborie defeated Mabouya Valley by 10 runs at Dennery and Micoud defeated Vieux Fort South.
The matches, Soufriere against Choiseul and Dennery versus Vieux Fort North, were abandoned due to wet outfields at Piaye and Dennery.
