THE Grande Riviere playing field will come alive tomorrow when the St.Lucia Football Association stages the inaugural finals of the Guardsman Northern Zone Under – 14 Championship.
From 1:00 p.m. the third place playoff will feature Big Players against B1 Juniors; while in the grand finals GMC United will play First Touch/Pioneers at 3.00 p.m.
According to the SLFA all teams must arrive at the Grande Riviere playing field two hours before the scheduled start of the game to facilitate the official match count down. All Coaches and managers must adhere to the new SLFA dress code which applies to the technical area.
Meanwhile, in semifinal action played on Monday at the Corinth Playing Field, First Touch/Pioneers defeated B1 Juniors 2 – 0. First Touch/Pioneers took the lead in the first half with a goal from Kyle Serville in the 18th minute, while BI Juniors Jervon Victor scored an own goal to give First Touch/Pioneers a 2 – 0 victory.
In the 2nd encounter GMC defeated Big Players 1 – 0. GMC took the lead in the first half with a goal from Noah Lynch in the 30th minute and that’s how the scoreline remained up until the final whistle.
