A new hotel development is on the horizon in Saint Lucia’s northern zone, a key touristic hub as the island looks to expand its tourism offerings.
Saint Lucia is poised to welcome a new addition to its collection of upscale accommodations with the forthcoming inauguration of Cas En Bas Beach Resort, set for 2027. This will be the first Destination by Hyatt branded resort and residential venture on the island.
In a press release dated September 18, Hyatt Hotels Corporation revealed its ongoing commitment to strategically expand its presence in the luxury and lifestyle hospitality segment. This dedication is demonstrated by an extensive development pipeline, which includes more than 30 planned hotels and resorts in the region of the Americas, slated for completion by 2027.
Saint Lucia has emerged as one of Hyatt’s burgeoning markets, playing a vital role in the resort chain’s efforts to enhance its inventory of guest rooms. The corporation’s statement highlights an impressive growth trajectory over the past five years, during which Hyatt has effectively doubled its count of luxury accommodations, tripled its resort offerings, and significantly expanded its lifestyle-oriented rooms.
This remarkable expansion has positioned Hyatt as the fastest-growing luxury hospitality portfolio, with luxury, lifestyle, and resort establishments now making up more than 40% of the company’s overall offerings. This reaffirms Hyatt’s reputation as the leading hotel brand for discerning high-end travelers.
When Cas En Bas Beach Resort opens its doors, it will represent a significant milestone for the local tourism industry, arriving at a pivotal time in the island’s tourism development.
