Sherry Etienne, Bernard Serieux, Germaine Andrew, Mitchell Augustin and Karan Montoute are the St Lucia Electricity Services Limited (LUCELEC) Employees of the Second Quarter.
This is the first time Serieux has won the Employee of the Quarter Award. A LUCELEC employee for the past 15 years, he has previously received awards for “Long Service” and “Safety”.
“It’s a reward for all the hard work I have put in during my many years at the company,” Serieux says.
It is also a first for Etienne although she was nominated for “Employee of the Year” in 2014.
“I was surprised and extremely grateful. It feels good to be recognized for the hard work we do to help the company meet its goals. I also feel motivated to try and win the award again,” she says.
This is familiar territory for Andrew, Montoute and Augustin. Montoute is a Billing Clerk in the Customer Service Department who has worked with the company for nine years.
“I feel ecstatic, honoured, wonderful to know that my efforts as an employee in providing excellent customer service did not go unnoticed and was rewarded,” he says.
Augustin is the longest serving LUCELEC employee who was recognized. He has been employed in the Building Services Department for 20 years.
“What I like best about working here is my interaction with team members. They appreciate the work I do and they are always thankful. I love my job very much,” he says.
The Employee of the Quarter Award is one of the many ways LUCELEC recognizes and rewards its Grade 1 employees for excellent work.
