THE ferry service L’Express des Isles is working with local, regional and international organizations to assist in the relief effort to Dominica by transporting much needed aid free of cost from St. Lucia, Martinique and Guadeloupe to Dominica.
The company is working with organizations that have the capacity and structure to deliver what is needed in the fastest and most efficient manner.
“Our approach is allowing us to meet the needs of the many communities within Dominica and also allows us to optimize the use of our vessels for this effort”, an accompanying statement said. “The types of organizations that we would normally work with are NEMO, Red Cross, various churches and Community Service Organizations. We will facilitate these requests as soon as is logistically possible.
Cox and Company as agents for the company in St. Lucia, are very happy to be part of a company making such a big contribution as they also did when St. Lucia was hit by Hurricane Tomas.
