Despite a morning of threatening showers, the event emerged into a vibrant showcase of athletic talent. The atmosphere was electric as athletes gathered, energized by motivational speeches and an inspiring March Pass, signaling the beginning of intense competition.
The event featured three age categories: Under 9, Under 11, and Under 13, each bringing out the best in every competitor. Physical Education teachers Dean Nestor (MDDGPS) and Torri Hippolyte (GWMMS) emphasized that this merger was not only necessary but transformative. “We trained rigorously, overcame challenges, and proudly kicked off the athletic season. The competition was fierce, and our athletes performed phenomenally,” they stated.
With the first hurdle successfully cleared, both schools are now laser-focused on the upcoming District II Sports Meet in March. Although they will compete separately, the determination to win is palpable.
