Saint Lucia Gears Up to Defend Title at 2025 OECS Regional Table Tennis Championships

.

Saint Lucia’s impressive run in table tennis continues as the island prepares to compete at the 2025 Senior OECS Regional Table Tennis Championships, scheduled to take place from November 6–10 in St. George’s, Grenada.

After a historic clean sweep in Dominica last year—where Team Saint Lucia captured all seven championship titles—the team is returning with confidence, determination, and youthful energy, ready to defend its regional dominance.

Men’s Team

Leading the men’s lineup is 16-year-old Manie Eleuthere, Saint Lucia’s top-ranked Under-19 player and current number three in the senior category. Eleuthere is the LQ Regional Classic Junior Singles, Teams, and Doubles Champion.

He will be joined by Leshon Francis, one of the Caribbean’s most promising young talents. Francis is ranked among the top 16 Pan American players, holds the national Under-15 title, and earned a bronze medal at the Caribbean Youth Championships.

Adding depth and experience is Dawitt Nurse, a seasoned player with multiple Caribbean medals to his name, including an OECS Senior Men’s Singles bronze from last year. Completing the men’s roster is Khamari Harris, a rising star who has already secured two Caribbean bronze medals in the Under-15 and Under-19 categories and now sets his sights on senior success.

Women’s Team

The women’s team will be led by Shatal Charles, who recently ranked among the top 16 Under-15 players at the Junior Pan American Championships. Charles enters the tournament as the defending champion in all four women’s categories—Team, Women’s Doubles, Mixed Doubles, and Singles.

Joining her are Zariane Anthony, a consistent medal contender, Daniella Symphorian, who contributed significantly to last year’s winning campaign, and Cherese Darcheville, a returning veteran eager to make her mark once again.

Rallying Behind Team Saint Lucia

The Saint Lucia Table Tennis Association (SLTTA) has expressed pride in the athletes’ dedication and achievements, encouraging the public to show full support as the team heads to Grenada.

With a blend of emerging stars and experienced players, Team Saint Lucia is ready to defend its crown and bring home gold once again.

🇱🇨 One Team. One Goal. All Gold. ✨
