Nearly 30 young athletes between the ages of 4 and 12 took part in a vibrant, weeklong summer camp hosted by the Dennery Falcons Athletics Club, blending athletics with personal development in an engaging and memorable experience for participants and organizers alike.
Held over five days across three community venues—the Dennery Infant School Compound, the open space behind Dennery Primary School, and the Dennery Cricket Field—the camp offered a dynamic mix of physical training, interactive games, and social learning.
From sprint drills and endurance workouts to coordination exercises and team-building activities, the camp’s diverse schedule was tailored to challenge participants physically while encouraging teamwork, discipline, and confidence. The young athletes were grouped by age and interest, allowing coaches to provide age-appropriate instruction and foster close peer connections.
“The range of activities and structured programs offered at the camp was truly outstanding,” said Club Manager Juliana Joseph. “We aimed to create an environment where children could not only grow athletically but also build friendships and emotional strength.”
The initiative marked a significant milestone for the Dennery Falcons Athletics Club, signaling its commitment to youth development within the community. Organizers extended sincere gratitude to the Ministry of Youth Development and Sports, whose partnership was instrumental in the successful rollout of this inaugural camp.
Looking ahead, the Club remains committed to empowering young people through sports and is optimistic about future collaborations that will continue to help Dennery’s youth “soar high.”
