Alcindor House emerged champions of the Soufriere Primary School’s annual Inter-House sports meet.
According to the organisers, the event, held recently at the Soufriere Mini Stadium, was filled with excitement as hundreds of spectators cheered on their favorite house.
At the end of the meet, Alcindor House topped the table with 581 points followed by Denis House with 512 points, Mondesir House 502 points and Hippolyte 467 points.
The organisers stated that the level of competition was high and teachers and officials executed the event well.
Meanwhile, the Dennery Infant School held its annual road race and fun sports earlier this month and by all accounts it was deemed a resounding success.
The Ministry of Youth Development and Sports commended the school for its exceptional efforts in organizing the event, particularly in light of its upcoming Sports Meet on February 28.
A sports official noted that, “The presence of a robust community spirit was evident in Dennery, where many parents and community members showed up to offer their support.
Such a display of community engagement is a testament to the school’s commitment to fostering positive relationships within its community.”
