Arundel Hill emerged winners of the Phillip J Pierre Community Football competition defeating Marchand Boulevard in the finals played at the Marchand Grounds, Sunday.
The competition organised by the Marchand Football League [MFL], had the parliamentary representative Prime Minister Phillip Pierre in attendance along with the Taiwanese Ambassador and his delegation.
Despite some soggy conditions at the grounds, the finalists put on some lively play that was appreciated by a supportive crowd.
Nevertheless, Arundel Hill got past Boulevard 2-1to prevail as the victors over their worthy opponents.
Lincoln Phillip put Arundel Hill in the lead with a 12th minute conversion, and Simon George doubled up in the 78th min. Vershawn Jerome scored for Boulevard in the 75th min.
In the Third Place Play Off, Rock Hall beat Bagatelle 1-nil with a strike by Keanu Felicien in the 89th min.
