Technical, clerical and other ancillary workers employed with the Saint Lucia National Housing Corporation (SLNHC) will now benefit from a revised industrial contract agreed upon between the Management of the Saint Lucia National Housing Corporation and the National Workers Union (NWU).
Chairperson of the Board of the Housing Corporation, Dr. Mikey Pilgrim and Secretary General of the National Workers Union, Cde Johann Harewood both agreed that the initiative is historic. Workers will receive a lump sum payment, upward adjustments in salary and an increase to 15% in land/house incentives.
It is expected that all arrangements are currently being made to facilitate the speedy implementation of the new industrial accord.
