A crew from the Crash Fire Hall responded to a call for help this afternoon after reports of an individual in distress were made.
An unidentified 33-year-old man who was in the presence of police officers from the Vieux Fort Police Station was found to be the victim of a shooting.
A Fire Service official disclosed, “after an immediate assessment of the individual, it was discovered that he had sustained puncture wounds.”.
The official confirmed that the victim received emergency care and was handed over to a medical practitioner at St. Jude Hospital.
