Parliamentary Representative for Micoud North, Hon. Jeremiah Norbert has announced the commencement of the Micoud jetty and the opening of the Early Development Childhood Centre.
After aggressively petitioning to begin and operationalize major capital projects in the constituency, the people of Micoud North will now witness these transformative undertakings that will enhance the livelihoods of the fisherfolk who, for decades, were forced to grapple with the cold Atlantic shores and the stench of the Sargassum seaweed.
Another progressive step for the community is the opening of the Early Childhood Centre in Micoud on February 1, 2022. “From the tour of this completed facility, I know our little ones will be more comfortable, and I am confident the center will be more conducive to their primitive needs,” said Hon. Norbert. According to the Parliamentary Representative, “parents will no longer be challenged with finding a place for their children’s development because we will now have a facility right here in Micoud Village!”
Hon. Jeremiah Norbert acknowledged the contribution of the former parliamentary representative for initiating these projects and aims to ensure that they are delivered most efficiently and equitably to cater to the needs of all constituents. Norbert promises that his constituents can look forward to more infrastructural developments in the near future as he works assiduously with the Government of Saint Lucia to deliver initiatives that will impact the lives of the people of Micoud North.
