Authorities have identified the victim of a tragic vehicular accident as 28-year-old Meshack Frederick, a resident of La Ressource, Vieux Fort.
According to police reports, the incident occurred last weekend, specifically on Friday, August 28, at approximately 1:50 a.m. Officers from the Vieux Fort Police Station responded to a call regarding a collision on the St. Jude Highway.
Initial investigations reveal that a black Lexus motorcar lost control and crashed into a concrete wall. The vehicle was carrying four occupants—three males and one female—who were all transported to St. Jude Hospital via ambulance.
Sadly, one of the occupants did not survive his injuries and passed away at the hospital.
Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the collision are ongoing as authorities seek to uncover more details about the incident.
