The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force (RSLPF) has initiated an investigation following the homicide of Kayse Darrel Gustave from Bexon, Castries.
On Saturday, September 19, at approximately 8:30 p.m., officers from the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) responded to a shooting incident in Odsan. Initial reports indicate that Gustave sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene by a medical practitioner.
Investigations are ongoing, and a post-mortem examination is scheduled for a later date.

Update: Merissa Auguste Homicide Investigation
On Friday, September 11, 2026, police responded to a report of a partially decomposed body in an area along the Millennium Highway. The body was subsequently identified as that of 21-year- old Merissa Auguste who had been reported missing. A post-mortem examination subsequently determined that the cause of death was strangulation.
As part of the investigation the Major Crimes Unit has formally charged one individual in connection with the homicide.
Forty-year-old Vianney Lubrin of La Croix Maingot, Castries, was charged with the offence of Murder. Mr. Lubrin was subsequently escorted before the First District Court, where he was remanded in custody until October 6, 2026.
