PRESS RELEASE — Bank of Saint Lucia has given its full support to one of Saint Lucia’s emergent platforms for technology, entrepreneurship and innovation, having been announced as Title Sponsor of the Orbtronics Innovation Summit 2026 alongside the BOSL Global Investment Fund.
Bank of Saint Lucia stands by its promise to invest in technology, digital transformation and the furtherance of Saint Lucia’s economy. Orbtronics, founded and ran by three young, outstanding Saint Lucian men, offers software development and engineering consultancy services, and places great focus on the proliferation of science, technology, engineering and mathematics education. With the aim of building a Caribbean Silicon Forest ecosystem, a two-day Summit, scheduled for November 21st – 22nd, 2026 in Saint Lucia, positions the island as a catalyst for regional innovation.

At a press launch, held on 17th September, 2026, the scale of the event was emphasized, with Chief Executive Officers, Keeghan Patrick and Shergaun Roserie, describing this year’s Summit as a platform to move the region from a consumer of technology to a creator of technological advancements. Under the theme “Frontiers of Innovation”, over 400 investors, corporate leaders, entrepreneurs and policymakers will converge with the goal of building connections between Caribbean talent, capital and technology. The programme will feature keynote presentations, live startup pitches, panel discussions, innovation showcases and investor and founder networking.

Senior Manager, Marketing and Corporate Communications, Ms. Genevieve Downes, described the partnership as an opportunity to support a space that brings together the people and institutions shaping the region’s next generation of businesses and ideas. “Bank of Saint Lucia understands that a vision of this magnitude requires access to the right networks, resources and capital. Supporting the Orbtronics Innovation Summit allows the Bank to be part of an important conversation that has a direct impact on the future of Caribbean businesses and entrepreneurs.

General Manager, BOSL Global Investment Fund, Shaiiede Kallicharan, reiterated the sentiment and spoke to the shared belief that innovation and local talent can drive Saint Lucia’s economic growth and prosperity. “The BOSL Global Investment Fund intimately understands the relationship between innovation and capital. Every great idea needs capital to be realised. More importantly, individuals need the financial knowledge and confidence to not only participate but create the opportunities themselves. We see our role as broadening access to financial markets and innovative products and giving people more avenues for wealth creation.
Bank of Saint Lucia calls on corporate society and policy makers to unlock capital and allow it to flow into ventures like Orbtronics’s Innovation Summit.
