Saint Lucia’s leading trade union, the National Workers Union (NWU), is set to host a significant industrial relations forum in mid-September 2026.
Approximately twenty-five (25) Senior Shop Stewards from various NWU branches will participate in this event, which will take place at the John Burke King Industrial Academy, located at UNITY HOUSE, #7 Maurice Mason Avenue, Sans Souci, Castries.
The forum will focus on enhancing the capacity of the trade union’s membership, particularly at the levels that interface with management.
Presentations will cover key topics including the significance of the Grievance Complaint Instrument in NWU operations, the importance of total mobilization within the union’s branches, and the conciliatory process within the Labour Department.

Featured presenters will include the Secretary General of the NWU, a representative from the Department of Labour, and an industrial relations consultant.
This forum promises to be a vital opportunity for skill development and collaboration among union members.
