South Castries T20 Knockout Cup Bowls Off

On Saturday, May 23, the South Castries Cricket Association, in collaboration with the National Lotteries Authority and the Botham Jean Foundation, officially launched its T20 Knockout Cup at the historic Mindoo Phillip Park, featuring an exciting double-header to start the tournament.

In the featured match, which was affected by rain and reduced to 10 overs per side, the Millet Cobras triumphed with a commanding 38-run victory over the Ciceron Seagulls.

Batting first, Millet posted an impressive total of 142 for 2, spearheaded by an unbeaten 62 from Shadrach Descartes. Kester Charlemagne contributed 31 not out, while Noel Leo chipped in with 29. Quain Henry and Isaiah Jones claimed one wicket each for Ciceron.

In their chase for the challenging target, the Ciceron Seagulls managed to score 104 for 2, with a valiant unbeaten 60 from Quain Henry. Evan Gilbert stood out with the ball for Millet, finishing with figures of 2 for 13. Descartes’ outstanding all-round performance earned him the Player of the Match award.

In another development, Ti Roche Jaguars forfeited their match against the Crusaders after being unable to field a full team. Matches scheduled for Sunday and Monday were postponed due to inclement weather.
The action resumed on Tuesday, with the Bexon Oval Superstars facing the Forestiere Kataharrs at the Mindoo Phillip Park.
