
Prime Minister Hon. Philip J. Pierre, on behalf of the Government and people of Saint Lucia, extends congratulations to Prime Minister Philip Davis and the Progressive Liberal Party on their victory in the snap general elections held on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, in The Bahamas.

Preliminary results indicate that the Progressive Liberal Party secured more than 30 of the 41 seats in Parliament, returning the Davis administration to office with a commanding majority and marking the first time in nearly 30 years that a Bahamian prime minister has secured a second consecutive term.
Prime Minister Pierre conveys best wishes to the Government and people of The Bahamas and reaffirms Saint Lucia’s commitment to continued cooperation and strong regional partnership on matters affecting the Caribbean Community, including economic development, climate resilience, security and the interests of Small Island Developing States.
