
One man has been arrested and charged with murder in the resent double homicide case in Marchand, Castries.
On Saturday May 9, 2026, about 11:00 p.m. Police Officers attached to the Marchand Police Station responded to a report of a shooting at Marchand Road.
Initial reports indicated that two (2) victims one (1) male and one (1) female sustained gunshot wounds. One of the victims was pronounced dead on the scene and had been identified as sixty-four (64) year old Pearl Ramsay of Marchand. The second victim was transported to the Owen King European Hospital (OKEU) via the Saint Lucia Fire Service ambulance. He was later pronounced dead, by a medical practitioner and was identified as thirty-four (34) year old Sheston Duncan alias Bolom of Black Mallet, Marchand.
On Tuesday May 12, 2026, Seth John was arrested as a suspect in the homicides of Ramsay and Duncan. On Thursday May 14, 2026, Seth John was charged for the offences of Murder. He was escorted to the First District Court on Friday May 15, 2026, for bail purposes and he was remanded to the Bordelais Correctional Facility.
Meanwhile, Saturday May 16, 2026, about 1:05 p.m. Police Officers attached to the Criminal Investigations Department responded to a report of a discovery of a body at La Pansee, Castries.
Initial reports indicated that the lifeless body of a male victim was discovered in a house at La Pansee, Castries. The victim was discovered with apparent gunshot wounds about his body. He was pronounced dead on the scene by a medical practitioner. He was later identified as forty-eight (48) year old Christopher John Edward of La Pansee, Castries.
Investigations are continuing into this incident and the post mortem is scheduled for a later date.
Additionally, on Sunday May 17, 2026 about 10:45 p.m. Police Officers attached to the Gros Islet Police Station responded to a report of a shooting in Massade, Gros Islet.
Initial reports indicated that one (1) male victim sustained gunshot wounds and was transported to the Gros Islet Polyclinic via private transportation. The victim later succumbed to his injury and was pronounced dead by a medical practitioner. He has since been identified as, thirty-four (34) year old Julien Cedrick Agian of Massade, Gros Islet.
One person is presently assisting police with investigations into this incident. A postmortem is scheduled for a later date.
The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force has made an appeal to anyone who may have any information regarding these incidents to contact the Major Crimes Unit at 456-3754. Alternatively, anonymous tips can be provided by dialling 555 (the Crime Hotline) or by utilizing the RSLPF Crime Hotline Application, which is available in Google Play Store.
In other related updates, police officers from the Gangs, Narcotics, Firearms Unit the Special Services Unit and the Central Intelligence Unit, on Wednesday May 13, 2026, conducted an operation at Wilton Yard, Grass Street and Leslie Land. During the operation four (4) structures were searched. One (1) Warrant to Search Premises was executed on the premises of Elijah Benjamin Khodra alias “Beh ben” of Leslie Land.
During the execution of the search, officers recovered a component part of a firearm, specifically the backplate of a Glock pistol.
Elijah Benjamin was arrested and charged for the offence of Possession of Component Part of a Weapon contrary to Section 22 (3) of the Firearm Act of Saint Lucia.
He was escorted to the First District Court for bail purposes and was granted bail in the sum of fifteen thousand ($15,000) dollars cash or suitable surety.
