A total of fifty-nine schools across Saint Lucia were scheduled to participate in this year’s National Schools Calypso and Soca Competition Auditions. In the Calypso category, twenty-six primary and fourteen secondary schools were to audition, while fourteen primary and nine secondary schools were slated to audition in the Soca category.
The schools faced a panel of judges on Monday May 5th and Tuesday May 6th to state their case for this year’s competition.

Qualifiers are expected to undertake a series of training sessions to prepare them for competition.
The National Primary Schools Calypso and Soca Competition is scheduled for 10:00 am Wednesday, June 3rd, while the Secondary Schools Calypso and Soca competition is slated for Friday, June 5th. These events will be held at the Mindoo Philip Park, Castries.
