The Best Short Film nomination places Omyra among a select group of films shortlisted by the festival jury after a rigorous review process. Beyond official selection, a nomination signifies that the film has advanced into final awards consideration, reflecting strong juror confidence in its artistic merit, storytelling, and overall impact.

Omyra endured a 3-stage climb, from its initial selection to now be nominated for the prestigious award.

For Omyra, this nomination builds on a growing international festival run that has already included multiple official selections and an award win. Whether or not the film ultimately takes home the top prize, the nomination alone places Omyra in a highly respectable and competitive tier within the global short film landscape, affirming its resonance with both juries and audiences.

For filmmaker Elijah Anatole, the nomination marks an important milestone in the continued recognition of his work as a writer-director. It underscores the strength and consistency of his voice, and signals meaningful momentum as his films gain traction across international festivals
— particularly significant given that Omyra is his first short film.

The February1st event will celebrate the Chandler International Film Festival’s 10th Anniversary and will feature Red Carpet Entrance, VIP Gala Dinner, Celebrity Appearances, Inspiring Filmmaker Speeches and a Prestigious Award Presentations.
