Over 500 students from District 2 participated in a Fun Walk on Friday aimed at promoting healthy lifestyles among students, parents, and teachers. The walk served as a kickoff to the district’s Inter House Sports Meet, which runs from mid-January to early March.

The event began at the Camille Henry Memorial School grounds and culminated at the Vigie Multi-Purpose Sports Complex. “There were about ten schools represented here this morning. It’s just to sensitize the public and the schools of the importance of health and taking care of themselves. We’ve been doing it for over five years (and) the children enjoy it,” one participant said.

The event featured high-energy sessions and was attended by Royal Saint Lucia Police Force personnel, who ensured safety throughout. The activity is expected to set the tone for the upcoming Inter House Sports Meet, which promises to be an exciting and action-packed event.
