
Dr. Sibyl Edward has been elected to the World Board of Physiotherapy, making her the first St. Lucian to be elected to that organization. Â
The Physiotherapy Association of Saint Lucia Inc. (PASL Inc.) has extended congratulations to Dr. Edward on her recent installment.
A founding member, past president, secretary, and current treasurer of PASL Inc., Dr. Edward’s dedication and leadership have been instrumental in advancing physiotherapy within Saint Lucia, according to PASL inc. Her election to the World Physiotherapy Board, from the North America Caribbean region, PASL says is testament to her outstanding commitment to the profession.
World Physiotherapy, the sole international voice for physiotherapy, unites over 600,000 physiotherapists across 125 member organizations. Her four-year term on the executive board signifies a remarkable opportunity to advocate for the global physiotherapy community and contribute to shaping the future of the profession.
Dr. Edward has reportedly expressed her enthusiasm for this new role, emphasizing her dedication to volunteerism and to furthering the profession’s development on a global scale. She has thanked the PASL executive for their unwavering support throughout her professional journey.
