In a concerted effort to enhance the technical skills required for the smooth operation of swimming competitions, the Saint Lucia Aquatics Federation (SLAF) conducted a two-day Computer Room Training Workshop on July 4th and 5th, 2025.
Held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. each evening, the workshop was facilitated by Mr. Neil Marcano of Trinidad, whose extensive experience and guidance provided valuable insights to all in attendance. The sessions focused on the critical aspects of meet management, including the use of computer systems and software tools essential to running efficient and accurate swim meets.

Seventeen participants representing Sharks Swim Club, Seajays Swim Club, and Lightning Aquatics took part in the training. Their involvement signals a shared commitment among Saint Lucia’s swim clubs to strengthen operational capacity and elevate the standard of aquatic events on the island.
The Saint Lucia Aquatics Federation expressed its deep appreciation to Mr. Marcano for his dedication and expertise, and to the participating clubs and individuals for their enthusiastic pursuit of excellence.
This workshop marks another important step in SLAF’s ongoing efforts to build capacity and foster professionalism within the local aquatics community.
