Marchand Football League Concludes 2nd Annual Cassius “Cassie Boom” Glasgow Youth Tournament

The spirit of youth football was alive and thriving as the Marchand Football League wrapped up its second annual Cassius “Cassie Boom” Glasgow Youth Tournament on Sunday, July 13. The tournament, named in honor of the late football icon, continues to serve as a vibrant platform for young talent across the island.

Sponsored in part by the Free Kick Foundation, the tournament featured over twelve teams competing across three divisions: Under-11, Under-13, and Under-15. The foundation expressed its pride in being part of this unique initiative that nurtures the next generation of footballers in Saint Lucia.

This year’s champions were:

  • Pioneers FC – Under-11 Champions
  • Flames United FC – Under-13 Champions
  • Nyah FC – Under-15 Champions

A special commendation goes to Big Players FC, who showcased consistency and skill by finishing second place in all three categories—a remarkable feat in itself.

The tournament once again highlighted the growing talent and dedication within Saint Lucia’s youth football scene, while keeping the legacy of Cassius “Cassie Boom” Glasgow alive.
