This year’s Lucian Carnival festival has been recognized as a brilliantly executed event, with major stakeholders and organizers already strategizing to enhance the national brand and broaden its appeal.
Dezral has made history by earning a rare triple-crown victory in this year’s festival, securing the Road March Title alongside his Kaiso Monarch and Power Soca Monarch titles.
This remarkable achievement was celebrated during a media briefing on Wednesday.
The Road March Title was awarded to Dezral and Jardel for their popular and fan-favorite tune, ‘The Car.’
Key personnel from the Carnival Planning and Management Committee (CPMC), the Events Company of Saint Lucia (ECSL), the Saint Lucia Tourism Authority (SLTA), and various band representatives attended the briefing.
Following Tuesday’s ‘last-lap’ festivities, Tribe of Twel collected the prestigious Band of the Year title, showcasing their enduring vibrancy and cultural richness.

Tamara Gibson, Chair of the CPMC, emphasized that over 30 events were executed during the festivities, showcasing an array of creative talent and vibrant cultural presentations that captivated both locals and visitors.
She stated that the promotion and marketing of the Lucian Carnival Brand and its merchandise highlighted the dynamism of this summer extravaganza.
Gibson pledged that the CPMC will drive efforts to establish this as the Best Summer Festival in the region.
The meticulous preparations and exceptional production skills of the bands have underscored the vigor and flair of the Lucian Carnival,she said.
Keedel Francois, Production Manager at ECSL, underscored the festival’s success, noting a significant increase in national events and participation from revelers. ECSL will continue to maintain this momentum through close collaboration with partner agencies.
Geraine Georges, Public Relations Manager at SLTA, revealed that preliminary figures indicate approximately 24,500 attendees participated in this year’s Lucian Carnival.
She highlighted the presence of various celebrities, influencers, and media personalities whose engagement enhanced the festival’s visibility on social media.
Additionally, increased flight arrivals from the USA, particularly Miami and New York, along with a surge of visitors from nearby Martinique and Guadeloupe, contributed to the carnival’s success. The Catamaran boat cruises provided exciting travel options to the destination.
