On Friday, January 31, 2025, the Choiseul Police Station initiated Attempted Murder investigations in response to a report of a chopping event in Industry, Choiseul, which resulted in the arrest and prosecution of Vaughn Mark and Kendal Sansion with attempted murder.
Vernon Labadie, 62, of Industry, Choiseul, died on Friday, February 21, 2025, as a result of his injuries sustained on January 31, 2025.
Consequently, on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, Vaughn Mark and Kendal Sansion were both charged with the murder of 62-year-old Vernon Labadie of Industry, Choiseul. They were brought to the Second District Court and were remanded to the Bordelias Correctional Facility.
