In today’s world, several things are changing around us and few among us are aware of such changes. If we are caught unaware of the changes, we can end up holding the shitty end of the stick.
In most Christian faiths, one is always reminded to be prepared for your departure from this life for a heavenly and divine kingdom, but while we seek glory in Heaven, we fail to prepare for the changes that confront us on Earth.
Biblically, we have been warned about the Armageddon age and we have frequently been told of the advent of One World Order, or having ‘666’ as the ‘Mark of the Beast’.
We have been cultured to be dependent on imports of all types for our survival and with the possibility of a rise in costs for all that we deem necessary, the cost of survival can become so astronomical that just to stay alive will become impossible.
The basic essentials of food, clothing and shelter can become a burden to obtain in the meantime, because most of us are blind to that possibility and continue to waste and spend without caution, like tomorrow will be as normal as today.
It is not only the cost of survival that should be of concern, the possibility of a major war just like the First and Second World Wars, and that too will have catastrophic consequences.
Nobody is paying attention to growing more plants that can at least provide us more food for our sustainable future.
The rest of the world is protecting their environment with the type of vehicles they use, while we seek the left-overs and continue to grow our fossil fuel (gas and diesel) fleet, not only polluting our own environment but also causing ourselves more wasted time trying to get from one point to another, while we kill each other daily because of careless driving.
Our children will be the first victims of our non-preparedness.
Our political leaders need also to find ways to shield us from this international onslaught. We need to be taught new ways to survive and we must understand what is at stake and what is really going on because if we don’t we will pay even higher prices than we might think.
If we are not re-educated or guided to think and behave differently, many more will perish, but even if we the people are not necessarily to be blamed for this circumstance, ignoring the need to protect the masses from themselves is paramount to genocide.
The learned ones among our people must take charge — and the media too must pay more attention to world affairs and disseminate the necessary information for our prosperity, as failing to alert, reeducate and redirect our course will remain a stain on our collective consciences.
We tend to think that entertainment is the order of the day, so my message is to wake up and smell the coffee because the changes that are to come will affect us all and there will be more dog-eat-dog types of man-eat-man solutions if we do not tighten our belts and deal with these coming disasters.
Colonization has taken its toll and so has slavery; now there is a new kind of damnation inflicted by Mankind on itself, done mainly by the rich and powerful against all minorities.
Freedom is an aspiration and dominion one by another are both common practices in these times, so the question remains: How ready and willing are we?
